Lavender variety "Voznesenskaya 34" is a perennial, compact plant reaching a height of up to 50 cm and a crown diameter of up to 70 cm, almost spherical in shape. The bush has no central stem but is capable of developing up to 500 shoots, on which spike-like inflorescences of 10 pieces each form. Grey-green branches are covered with a narrow leaflet with a silvery shade and slightly curled edges.
The flowers are small, violet-lilac in color, creating a pleasant aroma, not too sharp, which makes the variety a valuable nectarifer and source of aroma oils. Lavender possesses strong antiseptic and antispasmodic properties: it promotes rapid wound healing, is used for bronchitis, neuralgia, improves appetite, and is often used in therapeutic baths.
For cultivation, the plant prefers sunny, warm areas with dry, well-drained soil, protected from wind. Seeds are stratified for 30–40 days at +5 °C, then sown and germinated in the light at 15–21 °C. After seedlings appear, they are planted in a row with a spacing of 5 cm; in May, seedlings are transplanted to a permanent location. Thanks to these conditions, lavender roots quickly and begins to yield aromatic inflorescences suitable both for nectarifer production and therapeutic purposes.
