RECORD NIKITSKY

Lavender of the "Record Nikitsky" variety is a high-oil-yielding and winter-hardy type, characterized by large bushes up to 60 cm in height and about 65 cm in diameter. Plants have a semi-spreading shape, linear-lanceolate leaves, sparsely pubescent, about 4 cm in length. Inflorescence stems are straight, thin, green, reaching 20–22 cm in length.

The key feature of the variety is its high inflorescence yield – from 60 to 70 centners per hectare, while the number of inflorescences on one plant can reach 450–500 pieces. Inflorescences are cylindrical, medium-compact, with 6–7 close whorls 7–8 cm long. Flowers are of medium size up to 8 mm and weigh about 7 mg.

Essential oil from "Record Nikitsky" has a mass fraction of 1.9% to 2.2%, which makes it attractive for industrial production of aromatic oils. The variety is resistant to pests and diseases, easily subjected to mechanized harvesting and processing, and grows well in open areas with good solar illumination.
