Lavender PRIMA SOUTHERN

Essential Oil Potential and Aesthetics

The 'Prima Yuzhnaya' lavender is a breeding development from the Nikita Botanical Gardens, specifically adapted for warm climate regions. In industrial cultivation, this variety is highly valued for its stable productivity and high essential oil yield. It is not merely a decorative shrub, but a fully functional industrial crop for processing enterprises.

Use Cases in Agribusiness

• Essential Oil Production: The variety demonstrates high rates of bioactive compound accumulation. Farms use 'Prima Yuzhnaya' to obtain high-quality raw materials for perfumery, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
• Landscape Design and Commercial Landscaping: Due to the decorative quality of its inflorescences, this variety is in demand among nurseries focused on supplying planting material for parks, public squares, and private gardens.
• Soil Reclamation and Stabilization: Its drought resistance and low maintenance requirements allow it to be used for stabilizing slopes prone to erosion, effectively combining ecological conservation with the harvest of a commercial product.

When cultivating, it is essential to consider the plant's requirement for strong insolation and well-drained soils. The agrotechnical cycle includes standard lavender operations: pruning to stimulate blooming and mechanized harvesting during the peak oil concentration period in the flower spikes. 'Prima Yuzhnaya' is a product of long-term breeding by the NBS-NNTS RAS, ensuring pure planting material and predictable results when standard cultivation protocols are followed.
