Description IZIDA
Lavanda Izida is a perennial hybrid lavender variety obtained by cross-pollinating the narrow-leaved and wide-leaved varieties. The plant reaches a height of 50–60 cm and a width of about 70 cm, forming rounded crowns with rich green leaves that are slightly drooping and do not shed in winter.

The key feature of Izida is its aroma: a strong, pleasant ethereal scent that makes the plant in demand in the perfume industry. The inflorescences, 6–8 cm long, are colored purple-blue (or violet-bluish) and form small groups, creating an impressive visual effect. The flowering is prolonged, and under good conditions – on a sunny site with moderate watering – the number of inflorescences increases, increasing the essential oil content.

Izida is easy to grow both in open ground and in containers, rockeries or low borders. The plant is not picky about soils, but requires good lighting and moderate watering; excessive wetting can lead to the death of the seedling. Frost resistance is high – the plant withstands temperatures up to -26 °C, which makes it suitable for a wide geographical zone. Thanks to its compact form, bright color, and aroma, lavender Izida is often used by landscape designers in decorative compositions, as well as in the industrial production of essential oils, cosmetology, and pharmacy.
