Lublin Semko – a perennial plant 50–60 cm tall with a bush that ranges from semi-closed to spreading. Stems are numerous and branch at the base, while leaves are small, oblong-linear, green with a weak grayish pubescence.
Inflorescences are also numerous; the flower has a blue-violet hue, giving the plant bright decorative appeal. The plant has a quite strong aroma, so it is often used as a spice-flavor culture.
Lublin Semko prefers sunny locations and light or well-drained, non-acidic soils. When sown in spring, seeds are kept in a moist substrate at 5–7 °C for 30–35 days; the plant requires covering for winter. Thanks to its decorative appeal, aroma, and healing properties, it is widely used as a decorative, spice-flavor, and medicinal culture.
