Description Amaldie
Amaldie — a universal mid-early hybrid of sweet corn, suitable for cultivation both for grain and silage. This simple hybrid has a FAO of 250 and is characterized by high yield potential, reaching up to 14 tons per hectare. Plants reach a height of 240 to 280 cm, ensuring good productivity and ease of harvest. The hybrid is distinguished by high drought resistance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones, including the forest-steppe and steppe regions. The grain of Amaldie is dent-type with orange color and a 1000-grain weight of 320 to 360 grams. The ear contains 320 to 560 kernels arranged in 16-18 rows, with 28 to 32 kernels per row. This structure ensures high density and quality of the harvest. The hybrid demonstrates good regenerative capacity and high cold resistance, promoting stable plant development under various conditions. Amaldie also exhibits high resistance to major corn diseases, including anthracnose, fusarium, and common rust. The hybrid has good resistance to lodging, reducing yield losses under adverse weather conditions. The recommended plant density before harvest is 70-75 thousand per hectare in the forest-steppe zone and 55-60 thousand per hectare in the steppe zone, optimizing productivity and grain quality.
