Ardash

Ardash — a medium-maturing hybrid of sugar corn of Ukrainian selection with FAO 350, intended for cultivation both as grain and silage. This hybrid is characterized by high yield up to 165 centners per hectare and possesses very high drought resistance, making it an optimal choice for regions with insufficient moisture. Plants reach a height of about 280 cm, and ears are positioned at a height of 110 cm. Grain is cream-colored, toothed, with a thousand-grain weight of about 320 g, ensuring good potential for obtaining high-quality yields. The hybrid is characterized by rapid early growth and versatility in application of various cultivation technologies, including minimal or zero tillage. Ardesh has high resistance to various diseases and stress factors: drought resistance and lodging resistance are rated 9 out of 9, tolerance to stem and ear fusarium, helminthosporium, and smut is also at a high level. Recommended planting density varies depending on moisture conditions — from 65-70 thousand plants per hectare in areas with insufficient moisture to 75-85 thousand plants per hectare in more humid regions. These characteristics make the hybrid suitable for monoculture cultivation and allow reducing soil treatment costs. In agricultural complexes such as ZAO «Verkhovoe», corn Ardesh is widely used for feeding livestock. Due to its high yield and quality of green fodder mass, it serves as a basis for cow rations and is also used for producing silage and organic fertilizers. Placement of fields near livestock complexes ensures convenient fodder storage and promotes efficient use of farm resources.
