The castor bean variety "APHRODITE" is an early-maturing type, characterized by an average plant height of 80 to 150 cm and a branched stem structure with a waxy coating. The inflorescences have a cylindrical shape and medium density, ensuring good oil content in the seeds. The mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 295–310 g, with fat content reaching 53.1% to 57.4%. The yield is approximately 12.5–22 c/ha at a recommended planting density of 40–50 thousand plants per hectare. The variety is resistant to Fusarium wilt and is well adapted to mechanized harvesting.
"APHRODITE" is distinguished by high productivity and oil content, making it attractive for commercial cultivation. Plants grow rapidly during the 115-day vegetative period, reaching a height of up to 200 cm under favorable conditions. They prefer sunny locations, fertile soils, and regular watering, however, all parts of the plant are toxic to humans and animals, so precautions must be taken when working with it.
The variety is suitable for cultivation in a wide range of climate zones – from northern to eastern Siberian regions. Thanks to its adaptability to different soil conditions and resistance to pests, "APHRODITE" is a reliable choice for both agricultural production and decorative use in large flower beds or living hedges.
