AGATA NS

Potato variety Agata NS is a medium-late table variety with oval-round tubers of yellow skin and flesh. Tubers have a mass ranging from 102 to 159 grams, with small, medium-depth eyes. Starch content varies between 16.2-18.8%, ensuring good taste and excellent culinary qualities. The variety’s yield reaches 86.7%, and storage capacity is 95%, indicating high tuber preservation during storage.

The plant has medium or high growth, semi-erect type, with large green leaves and large flower clusters with intense anthocyanin coloring on the inner side. The variety is characterized by high yield — commercial yield ranges from 167 to 360 centners per hectare, which is 19-23 centners higher than the standard Lorch, and maximum yield reaches 434 centners per hectare. Agata NS is resistant to potato cancer pathogen and moderately resistant to potato mosaic and leaf curl, but susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode and late blight, especially on foliage.

The variety is adaptable and adjusts well to various soils and climatic conditions, allowing cultivation both on industrial scale and on garden plots. The potato is suitable for mechanical harvesting and exhibits good market appearance and resistance to mechanical damage. Tubers of Agata NS variety have low susceptibility to softening, making them suitable for preparing dishes with non-mashy or slightly mashed texture. Harvesting is recommended in early August to avoid late blight infection.
