Green Grapes is a medium-early variety of leafy cabbage, distinguished by its high decorative appeal and beneficial properties. The plant reaches a height of 60-80 cm, forming an elevated rosette of large ruffled leaves measuring 20-30 cm in length, in a rich green color. The leaves are curly and dense, giving the variety an attractive appearance and ease of use.
The period from germination to the start of greenery harvest is 60-75 days, and to full maturity is 100-110 days. The cabbage head is triangular, uncovered, medium bumpy, yellow-green in shade, dense, and up to 2 kg in weight. The variety has almost no characteristic cabbage smell or bitter taste, making it especially pleasant to eat. The flower heads are dense, do not break down when cooked, and have a pleasant nutty aftertaste.
Green Grapes is versatile in cooking: young central leaves and flower heads can be used for fresh salads, stewing, deep-frying in batter, pickling, and freezing. Due to its high protein content, the variety belongs to diet foods. Moreover, the cabbage has high frost resistance, tolerating temperatures down to -15 °C, which allows harvesting the crop until spring directly from open ground.
