Stable cauliflower yields: features of the "Beloe Oblako" variety

"Beloe Oblako" cauliflower from Agrofirma Aelita is a choice for those seeking a balance between predictability and marketability. The selection work conducted by Vladimir Kachaynik, Mikhail Gulkin, and Svetlana Matyunina focused on creating a variety adapted to local climatic conditions, making it more reliable than demanding imported hybrids.

Agronomic profile

• Vegetation period: 80–90 days from seedling transplanting. This mid-season type fits perfectly into summer-autumn rotations.
• Weight characteristics: Heads range from 0.5 to 1.0 kg, making this variety ideal for direct retail sales.
• Purpose: Primarily focused on the fresh market. The dense structure of the florets allows the cauliflower to maintain its appearance during storage and transport.

Strengths and weaknesses

The main advantage of "Beloe Oblako" is its dense, compact head, which requires minimal processing before sale. Unlike many varieties prone to crumbling, this cultivar shows excellent uniformity. It is perfect for growers supplying local markets and retail chains, where neat, medium-sized heads are highly valued.

However, it is important to note that the variety requires regular irrigation and balanced nutrition, typical for mid-season cauliflower. In case of water deficiency, head weight may not reach the upper limit of the specified range. It is an optimal choice for producers who prefer established varieties with proven agricultural techniques, avoiding the complexities and costs associated with foreign hybrids.
