Cabbage SILVER BALL

Agrotechnical profile of the 'Silver Ball' (Серебряный ШАР) cauliflower

The 'Silver Ball' cauliflower variety from the Sedek breeding company is a solution designed for the cauliflower segment, focused on producing market-grade heads of medium weight under temperate climate conditions. The genetic architecture of the variety, developed by a team of breeders led by Sergey Dubinin, allows for flexible harvest scheduling: depending on growing conditions, the vegetation period from seedling transplanting ranges from 50 to 100 days.

Yield formation parameters

• Weight metrics: the heads reach a mass of 0.5–1.0 kg, which is the optimal parameter for retail fresh market distribution and deep processing.
• Structural density: the heads are compact, with a high density of florets, ensuring excellent transportability without sacrificing market quality.
• Stress resistance: thanks to Sedek's breeding base, the plant demonstrates stability under temperature fluctuations, which minimizes the risks of hollowness or loose floret structure.

Technically, this variety is valued by farmers for its high adaptability to various soil types. The versatility of use—ranging from direct fresh consumption to freezing and canning—makes it an economically profitable asset for farms. The combination of medium head size and the ability to maintain a bright white color for an extended period makes the 'Silver Ball' a reliable tool for professional vegetable production.
