Cabbage variety Ortus is an early-maturing hybrid of white cabbage, intended for fresh produce markets. The vegetation period is 50-55 days, allowing for spring and autumn harvests. Plants are strong with well-developed root systems, forming uniform, dense, round heads weighing from 0.8 to 1.5 kg. Leaves are thin, tender, green-salad colored with a waxy coating, while inner parts of the head are snowy white. The cabbage exhibits synchronized ripening and high resistance to cracking and splitting, ensuring product quality during transport and storage. Ortus can be grown both in open ground and under cover — with plastic film, agrofiber, or in greenhouses. The hybrid demonstrates high yield and resistance to fusarium due to good field health. The crop is cold-tolerant, sun-loving, and moisture-loving, preferring fertile soils and positively responds to fertilization.
