Cabbage Autumn Queen

Reliable Performance for Commercial Farming

When selecting a mid-season cabbage variety (70–80 days to maturity), consistency is the ultimate goal. Autumn Queen (Отм Квин) from Takii Europe B.V. has proven to be an essential tool for growers looking to minimize the risks of Fusarium wilt and internal necrosis. From an operational perspective, this variety eliminates much of the guesswork associated with disease management.

Resilience and Field Protection

The standout feature of Autumn Queen is its genetic resistance to internal necrosis—a major pain point that often compromises quality during transport and storage. Furthermore, its natural resistance to Fusarium wilt and brown spot means you can significantly reduce the frequency and intensity of fungicide applications without compromising the health of the stand.

Marketability and Logistical Advantages

The heads are consistently flat-round in shape, making them highly attractive for retail packaging. Depending on your planting density, you can easily manage the head size, ranging from 2.0 kg to 5.0 kg. This flexibility allows you to target different market segments: larger heads for processing or tighter, more compact heads for the fresh market. The density of the head is excellent, ensuring they withstand handling and transport with minimal damage.

Operational Best Practices

• Irrigation: This variety thrives with drip irrigation. Consistent water supply ensures uniform head formation and prevents splitting during hot spells.
• Nutrient Management: Focus on a balanced potassium supply during the late stage of head development to ensure maximum density and storage shelf-life.
• Harvesting: The uniform shape and good clearance from the ground make harvesting, whether manual or mechanical, efficient and straightforward.

Autumn Queen from Takii Europe B.V. is a workhorse for professional growers. It offers a combination of robust plant health and high-quality yield, making it a dependable asset for any farm operation focused on profitability and high-grade produce.
