Dominanta F1 cabbage is a late hybrid of white cabbage with a maturity period from planting of 45-day seedlings to harvest, ranging from 120–130 days. The plants are powerful, with an elevated rosette of large blue-green leaves covered with a strong waxy bloom. The heads are round in shape, very dense, weighing from 4 to 7 kg, with white internal color and a medium internal stalk. The external stalk is long, while the internal one is of medium length, which ensures resistance to cracking during harvest. The plants are well-leafed, exhibit synchronized maturity, and have good transportability.
The hybrid boasts high marketability reaching 90% and high yield up to 12 kg per square meter (or up to 120 tons per hectare). The dry matter content in the heads is 8–9%, sugars around 5%, and ascorbic acid up to 30 mg%, ensuring excellent taste qualities both for fresh and pickled products. Dominanta F1 cabbage is intended for long-term storage, with the output of standard product after 6 months of storage exceeding 80%, making it ideal for pickling and long-term use.
The hybrid possesses genetic resistance to Fusarium wilt and is weakly affected by thrips, which enhances its resistance to diseases and stresses. However, the cabbage demands high soil fertility, and the optimal planting scheme is 70x50 cm, which is related to the large leaf rosette. Thanks to its characteristics, Dominanta F1 cabbage is a highly productive and reliable choice for cultivation aimed at obtaining a quality harvest with a long storage period.
