Cabbage Lucky Ball

Efficient Production for the Early Fresh Market

Lucky Ball, a hybrid distributed by Summit Agro (originating from the Japanese breeding program Kaneko Seeds), is engineered for growers who need to hit the early market window with high-quality, uniform produce. This hybrid is primarily chosen by commercial farmers who prioritize rapid crop rotation and immediate marketability.

Technical Advantages for Commercial Farming

With a short growth cycle of 40-50 days after transplanting, Lucky Ball is a high-performance solution for intensive vegetable production. Key operational benefits include:

• Optimal Sizing: A head weight of 1.0–1.5 kg is the market-preferred size, reducing the need for half-head sales and minimizing waste at the retail level.
• Logistics-Friendly Geometry: The compact and round shape of the head allows for efficient crate packing, ensuring a high density of product per shipment.
• Retail Appeal: The vibrant green color is maintained during harvest and transport, providing a fresh look that satisfies consumer demand for premium early-season cabbage.

Designed for professional use, this Japanese-bred hybrid thrives under greenhouse, tunnel, or row cover conditions. Its consistent maturity pattern enables growers to schedule harvests accurately, allowing for efficient labor management and streamlined market entry during the early spring season.
