Iris «Saufair» is a bearded iris (Iris germanica) variety distinguished by its bright sky-blue color and delicate fragrance. The plant reaches a height of 90–120 cm, featuring basal linear leaves gathered in fan-shaped bunches that maintain their decorative appeal until autumn.
Large flowers with a diameter of 10 to 15 cm are positioned on long and sturdy stems. The three inner petals (falls) point upwards, forming a dome, while the three outer petals droop downwards, creating a characteristic beard from slightly ruffled leaves with gold edging. The flowers retain their vibrant hue for 2–3 weeks, typically in June–July.
The «Saufair» variety is popular among gardeners due to its versatility: it easily fits into landscape design and creates picturesque flower beds. Thanks to the perennial nature of the plant and its resilience to weather conditions, it can be used both in private gardens and in public parks.
