Iris CONSTANT WOTZ

Growth Metrics and Architectural Form

The 'Constant Vothez' iris is a result of advanced selection by the Federal Research Center for Horticulture. Designed for high-impact ornamental landscaping, this cultivar is defined by its impressive verticality, with flower stems reaching heights of 90–120 cm. This structural characteristic makes it a primary choice for defining the background or mid-ground layers in garden design.

Key Specifications

• Coloration: The dual-tone arrangement of white and yellow petals offers excellent luminosity, enhancing the overall depth of the planting area.
• Blooming Cycle: The plant sustains a peak decorative phase for 15–20 days. This duration is consistent under standard environmental conditions, ensuring reliable display timing.
• Application: Optimized for professional ornamental landscaping, providing a robust solution for borders and mass plantings.

The genetic profile maintained by the FRC for Horticulture ensures that 'Constant Vothez' is well-adapted to regional climatic stresses, reducing the necessity for intensive maintenance. From a technical perspective, the balance between stem height and flower durability provides a stable aesthetic anchor for any landscape. By leveraging its specific growth habit, designers can achieve rhythmic, visually compelling vertical accents that maintain integrity throughout the entire flowering period.
