Iris Balet

Working with the «Ballet» Iris

When it comes to landscaping, the «Ballet» iris from FANCA stands out for its predictability and stability.

Agrotechnics and Operation

With a stalk height of 70–90 cm, the «Ballet» variety is ideal for the mid-level layer of flower beds. In practice, this means the plant usually does not require staking unless the plot is exposed to strong, gusty winds. The stems are robust and maintain their structure even after heavy rainfall.

• Flowering Duration: 15–20 days. This is a key metric for planning rotational plantings. During its bloom, the variety provides a dense, decorative impact that doesn’t lose its appeal after a week.
• Purpose: Ornamental landscaping. The variety performs excellently both in solitary plantings and as part of mixed borders.

Maintenance and Care

From a maintenance perspective, «Ballet» is undemanding. Basic care boils down to routine operations: spring fertilization, soil aeration, and the removal of spent flower stalks. The plants are highly resilient and easily withstand clump division, allowing for quick propagation to expand green spaces without extra costs for new planting material.

It is important to remember that the originator of the variety (France) incorporated excellent adaptability into its genetics, so as long as well-drained soil is selected, vegetation issues are virtually non-existent. Resource consumption (water, fertilizers) is moderate; the variety responds well to basic care and does not require specialized growth stimulants.
