GUARD

Guard is a decorative iris ranging from 70 to 140 cm in height, distinguished by bright yellow flowers with a diameter of 14–15 cm and a strong honey aroma. The flower stalks are long-branched, with usually 5–6 buds in an inflorescence, from which 3–4 flowers bloom simultaneously. The perianth segments are wide, rounded, and ruffled, while the beards are orange-yellow, giving the bouquet a sunny appearance.

The variety is resistant to adverse weather conditions, diseases, and is winter-hardy, making it ideal for decorative landscaping of territories. Blooming begins in mid-June and lasts 12–17 days, while the plant grows quickly, ensuring dense coverage.

Guard was developed by JSC «Taytsy Agro-Industrial Association» (SPK «Taytsy Breeding Farm») in 1971 and included in the Russian State Register of Breeding Achievements in 1980. It is suitable for all regions of Russia, and its bright flowers and durability make it a popular choice among gardeners and landscape designers.
