FOGGY SHORE

The Japanese Iris variety «Foggy Shore» is distinguished by its original coloration: the lilac segments of the perianth feature dark veins and a light spot in the center, giving the flower special expressiveness.

This type of iris prefers acidic soil, grows well in moist conditions, and thrives in containers. It cannot tolerate excess alkalinity, so maintaining moderate soil acidity is crucial for successful cultivation. In winter, the plant requires dry conditions and protection from cold.

The variety «Foggy Shore» is part of the Iris collection of the Far East Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Botanical Garden-Institute, developed by Candidate of Biological Sciences Lyudmila Mironova. It is ideally suited for a decorative pond or water body bank, where its lush bushes create a picturesque landscape.
