Iris «Taiburon» is a hybrid variety of tall bearded iris (Iris hybrida hort.) distinguished by large, ruffled, and lace-like flowers with a rich lavender-blue hue. The flower reaches a height of 10–11 cm and a width of 14–15 cm; internal and external lobes are rounded and bubble-like, not fading even with prolonged storage. The orange-red beard adds brightness and makes the flower particularly noticeable in a garden composition.
The plant height is about 90–91 cm, while the scape length is approximately 90 cm. Usually, from five to seven flowers grow on one scape, but only two or three open simultaneously, ensuring a long visibility period and attractiveness for cut bouquets. The flowering period lasts 12–15 days, starting from mid-June; mass flowering occurs in early July.
«Taiburon» is characterized by good resistance to adverse weather conditions and winter hardiness, making it a versatile choice for greening gardens in the central region of Russia. Cut flowers retain freshness for 7–9 days, and transported flowers are easily shipped without loss of quality. The plant can be purchased as seedlings as well as roots, corms, or bulbs, allowing flexible planting planning under various conditions.
