Description Glyphosate
Active ingredient: isopropylamine salt of glyphosate, 480 g/l.
Chemical group: glyphosate. Formulation: aqueous solution.
Toxicological characteristics: according to WHO classification, III class hazard (moderately hazardous).

Mechanism of action: the phosphorus-containing compound, isopropylamine salt of glyphosate — the active ingredient of the herbicide Thermite — belongs to the group of amino acid synthesis inhibitors and penetrates into the plant through its actively growing green above-ground parts. Due to its systemic properties, it rapidly reaches all vital organs of the plant (above-ground and root systems), disrupts the synthesis of amino acids necessary for growth and development, causing rapid cessation of growth, chlorosis of young leaves, and death of above-ground and underground organs.

Herbicidal spectrum: Application of the herbicide Thermite allows for control of unwanted woody (oak, birch, willow, poplar, acacia, maple) and shrub (blackberry, raspberry) vegetation, as well as all annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds, including such species as creeping thistle, palmate dock, field bindweed, species of chickweed, etc. Visible signs of herbicidal effect on annual broadleaf and grassy weeds become apparent within 3-4 days, and the above-ground and underground parts of such weeds die within 5-7 days. Perennial grass weeds immediately after application cease growth, and no visible changes in their external appearance occur within 5-7 days. Yellowing of young leaves of perennial grass weeds appears on the 5-7th day. Complete death of above-ground parts, as well as death of underground parts — roots and rootstocks — occurs no earlier than 14-20 days after application under favorable weather conditions. Death of woody and shrub vegetation occurs within 1-2 months after application of the product. Unfavorable weather conditions (cold, drought, precipitation), presence of a thick dust layer on the leaves may delay the action of the herbicide Thermite and reduce its effectiveness.
Application of the herbicide Thermite is carried out under conditions of active weed growth phase:
• annual broadleaf — from 2 leaves until flowering;
• perennial broadleaf — species of sowthistle — during rosette stage (diameter 10-20 cm), species of sorrel — during rosette stage — stem elongation, field bindweed — during rosette stage (10-12 cm);
• annual grasses — from 5 cm until emergence from the coleoptile;
• perennial grasses — when 5-7 leaves are present and height is 10-20 cm.
Rainfall within 2-3 hours after application does not affect the activity of the product. Tilling fields to be treated with Thermite allows obtaining uniform weed growth phases, which enhances biological effectiveness. To ensure conditions for complete death of root systems of perennial grass weeds for at least 15 days after application of Thermite, mechanical soil treatment is prohibited. Autumn applications can be performed at positive temperatures.

Preparation of working solution: The herbicide working solution is prepared immediately before application. To prevent neutralization of the active ingredient during preparation, only pure water should be used; the product must be thoroughly mixed in factory packaging, poured into a half-filled water tank of the sprayer, previously turning on the mixer, while continuously mixing, add the required amount of water. Compatibility: Application of the herbicide Thermite with nitrogenous fertilizers and other herbicides allows reducing the cost of treatment, simultaneously enhancing effectiveness and speed of complete weed death. In each specific case, when using tank mixtures, it is advisable to verify the physical-chemical compatibility of components and their phytotoxicity to crops.

Persistence: Thermite is environmentally safe and does not affect subsequent crops in rotation due to rapid degradation in soil and water into natural components.
Additional information on application: Herbicides with active ingredient isopropylamine salt of glyphosate (480 g/l) are registered in Ukraine for control of annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds on potato, fruit, and grapevine crops (2.0-8.0 l/ha), on potato plantings 2 days before emergence (2.0 l/ha): in spring, 2 weeks before sowing on fields intended for corn, sugar beet, potato, cereal, flax, soybean, vegetable, grassland, rapeseed for technical purposes (2.0-5.0 l/ha); in autumn, after harvest of the preceding crop on fields intended for winter cereals, potato, vegetables, rapeseed for technical purposes, sunflower, castor, perennial grasses for seed, annual flowering plants for seed (2.0-6.0 l/ha); for control of bindweed on clover 7-10 days after mowing (0.6-0.9 l/ha), along drainage channels and their banks (8.0 l/ha), on non-agricultural lands (strips of land adjacent to power lines, gas-oil pipelines, road edges, railway embankments (3.0-8 l/ha).

Waiting periods for treated areas: For mechanized work — 3 days, for manual work — 7 days.

Packaging: Polymer containers of 1L, 5L, 10L, 20L, drums of 200L.
Shelf life: 2 years from date of manufacture in undamaged factory packaging.
Storage conditions: The herbicide Thermite should be stored in specialized storage facilities designed for pesticides, at temperatures from 0°C to +35°C.
