Active ingredient: glyphosate isopropylamine salt — 480 g/l, in acid equivalent — 360 g/l
Formulation: aqueous solution
Packaging: drums of 10 L, 20 L
General information about the product:
Systemic, non-selective herbicide for controlling a wide spectrum of annual and perennial weeds on agricultural land and non-agricultural areas.
Mechanism of action:
The herbicide Helios w.p. inhibits amino acid synthesis in plant cells, leading to chlorophyll synthesis inhibition and subsequent plant death, including their root systems.
Thanks to its unique formulation and modern manufacturing technology, the herbicide Helios w.p. rapidly penetrates leaves and other green parts of actively growing plants and distributes throughout all organs.
Annual plants show chlorosis within 2–5 days and die within 5–12 days, while perennial plants die within 14–21 days.
Warning! The herbicide is only effective against actively growing weeds and does not affect plants that germinate after the herbicide application.
General recommendations for using the product:
The product should be applied under dry, windless conditions, no later than 6 hours before rainfall. During spraying, avoid contact with leaves of crops, trees, and shrubs. Do not apply Helios w.p. when air temperature is below 13°C or above 25°C.
As a herbicide, the product is applied as a single spray to actively growing weeds. The application rate depends on weed species and their growth stage. Spraying should be done 12–14 days before mechanical operations (cultivation, discing, plowing). Rainfall within 6 hours after spraying may significantly reduce the herbicide's effectiveness. The working solution rate depends on weed density and ranges from 100–300 L/ha. A key requirement is complete, uniform coverage of plants with the working solution.
Preparation of the working solution:
Water used to prepare the working solution must be clean. High concentrations of foreign matter, sediment, or clay in water can significantly affect herbicide efficacy. When using hard water, it is recommended to use lower concentrations of the working solution and higher rates of the product.
Recommended working solution concentration: 1% to 3%.
Prepare the working solution immediately before application: measure the required amount of product for one spray tank, fill half the tank with water, then start the mixer. Then add the required amount of product and, after 15–20 minutes, top up with water to full capacity.
Warning! The mixer must be running during preparation of the working solution and during spraying.
Advantages of using Helios w.p. herbicide:
Due to its systemic action, Helios w.p. eliminates not only above-ground parts of weeds but also their root systems, which is highly effective against perennial root-escaping weeds;
Helios w.p. effectively controls both annual and perennial weeds on fields intended for spring and winter crop planting, helping to conserve moisture and ensure uniform, timely crop emergence;
Use of Helios w.p. herbicide significantly reduces overall field weediness and minimizes the need for mechanical soil treatments;
Helios w.p. herbicide does not have soil activity, so any agricultural crop can be planted after its application;
Using Helios w.p. as a desiccant significantly accelerates and simplifies harvesting of agricultural crops, reducing costs and saving fuel and lubricants;
Thanks to modern surfactants, Helios w.p. adheres well to plant surfaces, thereby significantly reducing herbicide loss through evaporation, runoff, and wind drift.
