Systemic herbicide for broad-spectrum control of annual and perennial weeds on agricultural land and non-agricultural areas.
Desiccant for cereals, legumes, and sunflower.
Formulation and active ingredient:
Aqueous solution containing glyphosate salt, 480 g/l.
Chemical class:
Glycines.
Packaging:
Barrels of 10 and 20 liters.
Speed of action:
First signs of herbicide action appear on day 3-4 as yellowing and browning of plants. Complete death occurs 7-14 days after application.
Mode of action:
The active ingredient, upon contact with green vegetative parts of weeds (leaves, stems), is translocated to all organs, disrupting synthesis of amino acids necessary for growth and vital activity of weeds, resulting in complete death, including the root system. Total is only effective on actively growing weeds and does not affect plants emerging after herbicide application.
Properties and advantages:
Economical and highly effective broad-spectrum herbicide;
Application during intensive weed growth, prior to flowering, allows complete elimination of persistent perennial weeds, including species such as creeping bentgrass, rose thistle, field bindweed, etc.;
Total is recommended for control of hydrophytic weeds (sedges, reeds, etc.);
Areas treated with Total and perennial weed infestation, according to application guidelines, should not be mechanically tilled until 10-14 days have passed. Otherwise, it may cause artificial "amputation" of the plant's apical part;
No residual soil activity;
Application does not disrupt crop rotation. Any crops can be planted after Total;
Can be used as a desiccant prior to harvest, improving grain quality by reducing moisture and weed contamination levels;
Does not accumulate in the environment. In soil and water, it is rapidly degraded by microorganisms (within 14 days) into simple compounds (water, nitrates, phosphates, and carbon dioxide);
Application of Total in steam, fall, and minimum tillage systems reduces mechanical cultivation costs, decreases their frequency, thereby reducing soil erosion and enhancing soil moisture retention. Due to its unique chemical properties, Total surpasses all known herbicides from other classes in terms of spectrum of action.
Special features:
Total has no soil activity. Weed control in mini-till and no-till systems during pre-emergence can be achieved using broad-spectrum herbicides. Safe application requires exclusive pre-emergence application (maximum 2-3 days before crop emergence). Also, application should not be conducted during pre-emergence if heavy rainfall is expected, as it may cause leaching of the product into lower (seed-placing) soil layers.
WHO classification, toxicological characteristics:
Class III (moderately toxic).
Shelf life and storage conditions:
Three years in sealed factory packaging at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C.
