Summer variety obtained at the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Genetics and Selection of Fruit Crops named after I. V. Michurin by S. P. Yakovlev through hybridization of the 'Daughter of Blanckova' variety with 'Williams Red'. Rarely grown. Passed state testing.
Tree fast-growing, with a compact, narrow-pyramidal crown, branches extending at a sharp angle.
Shoots thick, straight, slightly curved, brownish, buds small, pressed, conical. Leaves medium-sized, round-elliptical, short-pointed, with a reddish tint, shiny. Blade slightly folded, curved, margin finely toothed, smooth. Petioles lance-shaped, long. Leaves arranged at a sharp angle.
Fruits medium-sized, short pear-shaped, regular in form, dry skin. At harvest maturity, fruits have a burgundy color throughout, becoming brownish-red at consumer maturity. Numerous skin dots. Peduncle short and thick.
Flesh slightly creamy, medium density, semi-oily, juicy, slightly tart-sweet taste, with a mild aroma, no bitterness. Fruits contain 8.0% sugars, 0.12% titratable acids, 7.0 mg/100g ascorbic acid, 135 mg/100g P-active substances.
Harvest maturity in mid-August, consumption period up to two weeks.
Fruit production begins on the 5th year after planting in the orchard, yield and cold resistance are average, not affected by scab. This variety with strongly colored fruits for the middle belt was created for the first time in Russia.
Advantages of the variety: compact crown, fruits fully colored, resistant to scab and septoria, small crown allows planting plants densely, more than one thousand per hectare.
Disadvantages of the variety: relatively slow increase in yield.
