Description Sin-3/02
The Sin-3/02 buckwheat variety is a tall plant with an indeterminate growth type and the alata variety. Plant height ranges from 91 to 110 cm, they are well-leafed and have four nodes in the branching zone. Large flowers of pale pink color reach a size of about 7.5–8 mm. The weight of 1000 seeds varies from 26 to 29 g, and the protein content in the kernel is 15.8–16.1%, making this variety especially valuable for the food industry. The hulling percentage of the grain reaches 22%. The variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging, shattering, and diseases, including downy mildew, bacterial blight, and powdery mildew. It is ecologically plastic and highly drought-tolerant, allowing successful cultivation under various climatic conditions. The vegetation period is 70–80 days, making it a medium-early variety. Yield reaches 31–38 c/ha (3.1–3.8 t/ha), and the flour yield is 75–76%. Sin-3/02 is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions of Ukraine. Due to its characteristics, it is widely used in the food industry for producing flour and honey. The variety is characterized by stability and reliability, ensuring high product quality and economic efficiency of cultivation.
