Solnechnodolinskiy is a technical grape variety developed at the Vinograd and Vin Institute «Magarach» in 1969. This variety is characterized by a late maturation period and vigorous bushes. The leaves are large and medium-sized, deeply and strongly dissected, with wavy tips and weak cobwebby pubescence underneath. The flowers are hermaphroditic, which promotes good pollination. The clusters are conical, dense, and medium-weight, ranging from 180 to 395 grams, indicating high yield of the variety.
The berries of Solnechnodolinskiy are of medium size, oval-shaped, green-yellow in color with a waxy bloom and a tan on the sun-exposed side. The berry skin is thick and dense, ensuring good fruit preservation. The flesh is dense and juicy, with easily separable seeds, usually two per berry. Sugar content reaches 21-22%, and acidity varies from 6 to 8 g/l, making this variety particularly suitable for the production of high-quality white dessert wines.
Solnechnodolinskiy is recommended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region. Despite high yield and good technological indicators, the variety has low resistance to diseases and medium resistance to pests, which requires careful care and plant protection. The grapes of this variety are used primarily for technical purposes, i.e., for winemaking, due to the absence of off-flavors and colorless juice, allowing the creation of quality wines with a characteristic taste.
