Anatelicon is a late-ripening technical grape variety developed by the clone selection method from the Black Muscat variety at the Institute of Viticulture and Viniculture «Magarach». This variety is characterized by high yields, reaching up to 154 centners per hectare, which exceeds the indicators of the original variety. The clusters are cylindrical-conical in shape, medium density, and weigh about 224 grams; they consist of wide-elliptical dark blue berries with a pruinous bloom. The berries have sweet, juicy pulp with a bright muscat aroma and a rich juice color. Anatelicon is intended for the production of dessert and liqueur red wines with high tasting scores. Sugar content in berries at harvest maturity is about 29-31.5 g per 100 cm³, and acidity is approximately 5.7 g per dm³. The juice is colorless, and the berry aftertaste is distinctly muscat, which gives the wines special brightness and richness. The flowers are hermaphrodite, the bushes are medium-sized, the leaves are medium-sized with weak hairiness. Seeds are small, 2-3 pieces per berry. The variety has medium resistance to major grape diseases and pests, which requires careful care during cultivation. Due to its characteristics and qualities, Anatelicon is widely used in winemaking for creating high-quality red wines with a bright aroma and rich taste. Since 2007, the variety has been included in the Register of Plant Varieties for industrial cultivation in Ukraine and patented by the Institute of Viticulture and Viniculture «Magarach».
