Description
The Henri K grape variety consists of a medium-sized bush with rounded, five-lobed, and medium-bubbly leaves. The leaf blade is wavy or slightly funnel-shaped, with a closed lyre-shaped petiole notch and noticeable webby down on the lower surface. The flower is bisexual, which promotes good pollination and crop formation. The cluster is medium-sized, almost cylindrical, of medium density and mass, approximately 275 grams. The berries are round, green-yellow in color, with juicy flesh and a characteristic varietal taste. The berries contain 18.1 g of sugars per 100 cm³ and 6.7 g of acids per dm³, ensuring a balanced taste and high-quality raw material for winemaking. The Henri K variety belongs to the technical direction of use and is characterized by a medium degree of susceptibility to diseases and pests, which facilitates care and increases resistance under the conditions of the North Caucasus region, where it is recommended for cultivation. The average yield of the variety reaches 118 centners per hectare, making it attractive for commercial viticulture. The seeds in the berries are of medium size, 2-3 pieces, which is a typical characteristic of this variety. Henri K was bred and permitted for use by the Kuban State Agrarian University named after I.T. Trubilin. The variety is included in the state register for the North Caucasus region, which confirms its adaptation and effectiveness of cultivation in this climatic zone. Thanks to its characteristics, the Henri K grape is suitable for producing quality dry wines with a tasting score of about 7.85 points, and can also be used for other technical purposes of winemaking.
