Description

Hamburg Muscat is a medium-late universal grape variety developed in England for greenhouse cultivation. The vines are medium-sized, hermaphroditic, with medium or large, conical clusters and branched stems. The berries are large, oval, dark blue or purple-blue with a dense waxy bloom, possessing a bright and pleasant muscat aroma and a delicate, unique flavor.

The variety prefers cultivation on southern and southwestern slopes with light soils such as loamy, sandy loam, and sandy. It adapts well to these conditions, but it shows low resistance to several diseases, including mildew, oidium, gray rot, bacterial cancer, and phylloxera. The variety's cold resistance is limited and reaches -18 °C, requiring protection in colder regions.

Hamburg Muscat is widely used in culinary and food industries. Its berries are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for making compotes, juices, jams, and marinades. Due to its rich muscat aroma and versatility, this variety is valued both for table consumption and processing.
