The vegetable pea variety NEISTOCHIMY 195 is a mid-early sugar type characterized by a period from germination to the beginning of pod harvesting of about 50 days. The plant has a simple, non-fasciated stem of medium height from 75 to 115 cm. The pods are large, light green, 8–10 cm long and 1.6–1.8 cm wide, with fleshy sugary valves without a parchment layer, allowing them to be consumed whole. Each pod contains 6–7 seeds of angular-depressed shape, yellow-green in color, which fade to yellow upon ripening. The taste of immature pods is high, making the variety attractive for fresh consumption and culinary use.
The NEISTOCHIMY 195 variety is suitable for growing in household and farm enterprises, as well as on garden and vegetable plots. It is characterized by a prolonged period of pod maturation, which allows for both staged harvesting and single-time collection. The yield is from 6.5 to 7.9 kg per square meter, ensuring good product output. Peas of this variety are used fresh, and are suitable for canning and freezing, thanks to the absence of a parchment layer in the pod valves.
For successful growing, it is recommended to choose non-acidic, well-fertilized, moisture-retentive, and air-permeable soils. Pea is a cold-hardy and moisture-loving plant, however, it is sensitive to the proximity of groundwater. Optimal predecessors are cucumber, pumpkin, tomato, and early potato. Sowing is carried out at the earliest possible dates to a depth of 2–3 cm, with rows 15 cm apart and a distance between plants of 5–6 cm. Important agrotechnical measures include regular watering, especially during germination and seedling emergence, weed control, soil loosening, and fertilization.
