SALFA

The SALFA mustard variety is a highly effective agricultural product primarily grown in Ukraine. It is distinguished by outstanding resistance to various diseases and pests, ensuring stable growth and high yields even under unfavorable conditions. The vegetative period is about 95 days, and plant height reaches approximately 115 cm.

Key characteristics of SALFA seeds include an oil content of 34% and protein content of 30%, making them a valuable source of nutrients for agronomic purposes. The mass of 1000 seeds is 5.4 g, and potential yield reaches 2.7 t/ha at standard moisture of 10%. Seeds also have a high content of erucic acid (5‑6%), which contributes to improved soil quality and increased fertility.

The SALFA variety is widely used as a cover crop to enhance soil biological activity, as well as a natural fertilizer. It adapts well to various soil types, including the central belt and southern regions of Ukraine, and is recommended for sowing from mid-April to mid-May. Due to resistance to pests such as the rape flea beetle and leaf beetle, as well as diseases like phyllastictosis and powdery mildew, SALFA ensures a reliable yield and contributes to the long-term development of agro-systems.
