Mustard "Rosava" is a variety of sarpetska mustard, known for its high drought resistance and ability to quickly develop a powerful root system. Seeds of this variety germinate at temperatures from +1 to +3 °C, and seedlings withstand frosts up to -4–5 °C, making it suitable for early spring sowing. Under optimal conditions, yield reaches 20–23 centners per hectare, while a sowing rate of 1.5 to 2.0 million seeds per hectare is recommended (corresponding to 5–8 kg/ha for sarpetska mustard). For maximum efficiency, the sowing should be preceded by soil treatment and application of fertilizers in the autumn period, as well as seed treatment with insecticides against the cabbage flea beetle.
In the production of mustards "Rosava", special attention is paid to the quality of the final product. The finished Dijon mustard contains 40 % water and brown mustard seeds, as well as alcoholic vinegar (27 %), wheat flour, sugar, honey, salt, and various spices – turmeric, cinnamon, garlic, nutmeg, onion, cayenne pepper, celeriac seeds, cloves, white mustard seeds, and tarragon. This complex of aromatic substances gives the product a rich taste and characteristic spiciness.
Mustard "Rosava" is packed in convenient 12-piece packages, which can be stacked on a pallet up to 1080 pieces. The average shelf life is 360 days under proper storage conditions. Thanks to the combination of high yield, resistance to unfavorable climatic conditions, and a rich flavor profile, the "Rosava" variety is in demand both among farmers and in the food industry.
