The "Reliable" garlic variety is a winter hardy, bolting variety with round bulbs weighing 60-70 g, consisting of 6-7 cloves of white color with a lilac hue. The plant leaves reach a length of 1.0-1.1 m and a width of 1.5-2.0 cm, having a green color with a medium-intensity waxy coating. The vegetative period ranges from 87 to 98 days, while the yield reaches 1.2 kg per square meter. The garlic has high winter hardiness and a sharp taste, making it versatile in application. For planting, it is recommended to choose a warm, sunny location with loose and drained soil; the planting depth for cloves is 4-6 cm, and the planting scheme is 2 by 10 cm. Care for plants includes timely watering, weeding, and protection from diseases and pests.
Growing "Reliable" garlic is carried out in open ground, preferably in regions with a moderate climate, such as Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, and Belarus. The optimal planting time is from mid-October to early November, 30-35 days before stable colds, at a soil temperature of about +5 ºC. To protect against frost, the site is mulched with dry leaves, fir branches, or pine needles, which prevents damage to plants from wind and cold. In spring, the cover is removed, and care continues with regular watering, soil loosening, and weed control.
In addition to high agro-technical characteristics, "Reliable" garlic has a wide range of useful phytotherapeutic properties. It has a general strengthening, antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-parasitic effect, promotes improved immunity and normalization of the cardiovascular system functioning. Garlic stimulates digestion, improves appetite, and activates the functions of the sexual glands. Its regular consumption helps reduce the risk of developing atherosclerosis, prevents the formation of blood clots, and also serves as prevention of infectious diseases and premature aging.
