Novosibirsk garlic is a medium-maturing non-strigose variety belonging to the winter group. The bulbs have an oval-flat shape, weighing from 20 to 22 grams, and contain 4 to 10 cloves, each weighing about 2.5 grams. The cloves are covered with pale pink skin and inner scales, while the garlic has a semi-sharp taste. The plant leaves are dark green, which is a characteristic feature of the variety.

This variety is valued for its high winter hardiness and resistance to fusarium, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in the Western Siberian region. The yield of Novosibirsk garlic is about 0.9–1.04 kg per square meter, indicating its high productivity. The maturation period is medium, and the harvest period occurs at the end of July – early August.

Garlic is grown by planting cloves in late autumn during the second half of September – early October, 1.5 months before the onset of frosts. The recommended planting scheme is 2 cloves per 10 cm with a depth of 4–6 cm. To preserve heat and protect against frost, the soil after planting is mulched with peat or manure at a layer of 2–3 cm, and cover with grass or pine needles can also be used. During the growing season, regular watering once a week is necessary in the absence of rain, which is stopped a few weeks before harvesting. Plant care includes timely watering and weeding, which contributes to obtaining high-quality and stable yields.
