Velten Bessarabia — a medium-sized walnut variety of Ukrainian selection, distinguished by particularly large nuts. The nut weight can exceed three grams, with the kernel occupying about 53% of the total weight, making it one of the best in taste quality among similar varieties. The nut shell is dense, about 1.5 mm thick, with a dark brown color, providing reliable protection for the kernel and contributing to long-term storage.
The bushes of this variety reach a height of about 5 meters and are characterized by high productivity — up to 9 kg of fruit can be harvested from one bush. The nuts ripen in mid-August, allowing their use in various food applications, including balanced nutrition due to the high protein content in the kernels.
This variety is not only characterized by large nut size and high productivity, but also by good adaptation to climatic conditions. It is drought- and heat-resistant, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions. These qualities ensure stable plant growth and development, as well as high-quality yields even under adverse conditions.
