The «Sofiivskyi 1» hazelnut is a testament to the rigorous breeding work conducted by the NDP «Sofiivka» of the NAS of Ukraine. Developed to thrive in local climatic conditions, this variety serves as a robust alternative to imported industrial hybrids. It occupies a niche for growers who value cold resistance, ease of management, and consistent yields.

Key characteristics and morphology

• Fruit Weight: 2.5–3 grams, which is an ideal size for industrial processing and market distribution.
• Nut Shape: A classic rounded shape that facilitates efficient mechanical harvesting and calibration.
• Cultivation: The plant exhibits excellent vigor, developing a sturdy bush structure suitable for high-density planting.
