Perseus

PERSEUS is a festulolium of the ryegrass type, obtained by crossing Italian ryegrass and meadow fescue. Thanks to this hybrid, the variety shows very active regrowth in spring and after mowing, as well as high resistance to adverse conditions.

One of the key advantages of PERSEUS is its late maturity – 4–5 days later than the analogous PERUN variety. This makes it an ideal choice for intermediate mowing in grass mixtures, where a longer growth period before the first cut is required. As a result, we obtain high-quality fodder and excellent energy concentration.

The variety has been successfully tested on numerous breeding plots in Europe, where it showed excellent results in green mass yield: 200–240 kg/ha in the first cut and about 50 kg/ha in the second. Plant height at heading is 90–125 cm, and dry matter content is 67–98 %. PERSEUS is suitable for pure stands as well as in grass mixtures, ensuring stable growth and good winter hardiness.
