Description FESTULOLYUM
Festulolium is a hybrid culture obtained by crossing ryegrass and oatgrass. Thanks to this combination, the plant inherits the best properties of both parent varieties: cold resistance and strong root development from ryegrass, as well as the ability to quickly form dense green mass from oatgrass. This makes festulolium particularly valuable for growing in colder regions where traditional grasses may yield less.

Festulolium fodder culture is characterized by high productivity – up to 500 kg/ha of green mass – and rapid recovery after cutting. It contains about 18% digestible protein, as well as fiber, vitamins, and minerals, making it a complete feed for cattle, sheep, goats, and horses. Due to its resistance to frost, drought, and mechanical stress, festulolium is suitable for both pastures and hay/silage production.

In landscape design, the plant is used for greening plots, slopes, and embankments thanks to its dense green mass and resistance to adverse conditions. When planting festulolium, a sowing rate of 25–30 kg/ha is recommended, which ensures optimal field coverage and maximum yield. Such a hybrid represents an effective solution for creating high-yielding pastures and fodder crops in various climatic zones.
