Eggplant NINFA

Italian Selection for the Premium Market

The «Ninfa» eggplant from Societa Agricola Italiana Sementi (S.A.I) is a top choice for professional vegetable growers focused on niche markets. Unlike traditional purple varieties, this white eggplant features a delicate, non-bitter pulp, making it a favorite for restaurants and the health-food sector.

Agrotechnics and Production Cycle

This mid-early variety reaches maturity 70–80 days after transplanting. The crop demonstrates stable fruit setting even under fluctuating weather conditions. The oval-cylindrical shape, with fruits 12–25 cm in length and weighing 200–300 grams, is highly convenient for retail packaging and transport.

• Quality Control: The smooth skin and lack of bitterness allow the fruits to be used immediately without the need for pre-salting.
• Logistics: Thanks to its dense structure, the fruit holds up well during transportation, maintaining its shelf appeal.
• Farm Application: Suitable for both film greenhouses and open fields with drip irrigation. A consistent harvest allows for reliable supply scheduling to retail chains.

Growing «Ninfa» requires standard nightshade care, but the high demand for white eggplants provides a significant edge in profitability compared to standard commercial varieties.
