The eggplant variety Vironik was developed by the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of NAAN and belongs to early-maturing crops with a ripening period of 105-110 days. The fruits have a characteristic purple color, and the flesh has a bright white hue, dense structure, and absence of bitterness. The plant height reaches 60-70 cm, with 6 to 9 fruits per plant, each weighing 200-250 g. The yield of this variety in open ground is 35-40 tons per hectare.
The Vironik variety exhibits high resistance to abiotic factors, including heat and cold tolerance, ensuring reliable cultivation under various climatic conditions. Moreover, the eggplants of this variety are characterized by good storability and transportability, making them convenient for storage and transportation. The high taste qualities of the fruits make this variety especially attractive to consumers.
It is recommended to grow Vironik eggplant for processed consumption and canning. Due to its characteristics, this variety is suitable both for home cultivation and commercial production. In 2020, the Vironik variety was included in the State Register of Plant Varieties Suitable for Distribution in Ukraine, confirming its quality and demand.
