Naval F1 eggplant hybrid is an early variety with a vegetative period of 55-60 days after seedling transplantation. The plant is compact with a well-developed leaf apparatus that effectively covers the fruits and does not form prickles. This hybrid stably forms fruit even in hot conditions, making it universal for cultivation both in open ground and in film greenhouses. Seeds of the hybrid are supplied by the company Sakata, a renowned Japanese breeding firm.

Naval eggplant fruits have a rich dark purple color with a glossy sheen and an oval-elongated shape, 20-25 cm in length. Fruit weight varies from 400 to 800 grams, sometimes reaching up to 1 kg. The flesh is white, dense, and homogeneous in structure, practically without bitterness, which makes this variety especially attractive for home canning and processing. Seeds form slowly and in small quantities, and the fruit stem has no thorns, which facilitates harvest collection.

Hybrid Naval cultivation begins with sowing in mid-March, and seedling transplantation to the ground is conducted in the first week of May. The first selective fruit collection is possible by early June, and mass harvesting begins in late June and continues with an interval of 5-7 days; in total, about seven mass and three selective harvests are conducted. Vegetation ends in early August. Thanks to its characteristics and stable yield, the Naval hybrid is suitable for both beginner gardeners and experienced farmers, providing a quality harvest for the fresh market and processing.
