Cultivation Experience

With a maturation period of 120–130 days, this variety requires a disciplined approach to irrigation. During my time working with this crop, I have found that consistency is key: once the plant hits the head-formation stage, moisture stress should be avoided to ensure the heads reach their characteristic weight of 2.0–3.0 kg. The shape is consistently round, which makes both harvesting and palletizing very efficient.

Storage and Processing

The standout feature of this variety is its ability to hold up in storage for 6–8 months. It is an ideal choice for growers targeting the winter and spring market. The heads maintain their density throughout the storage period, which significantly reduces waste. From a processing standpoint, the leaves are well-structured, making it excellent for shredding and fermentation. While it is a robust variety, it is important to monitor humidity levels in the warehouse to maintain its peak condition throughout the season.
