Root parsley MARUNKA

Czech Breeding for Professional Results

Parsley "Marunka" from the Czech breeding company Semo is a prime example of how focused specialization in plant breeding leads to a stable and predictable variety. In the professional vegetable production sector, this variety has long established a reputation as a reliable tool for those who cultivate greens for fresh-cut markets.

Varietal Features and Cultivation

While often classified as a root parsley, "Marunka's" primary market value lies in its intense production of high-quality foliage. Unlike many hybrid novelties focused solely on rapid growth, "Marunka" emphasizes leaf quality and resilience against environmental stressors.

• Type: Root parsley variety with a strong, vigorous leaf apparatus.
• Usage: Ideal for producing premium-quality commercial greens.
• Origin: Developed by the experts at Semo a.s., Czech Republic.

Semo focuses on preserving varietal purity, allowing farmers to work with their seeds without losing quality from season to season. The variety adapts perfectly to the climatic conditions of the temperate zone, showing high tolerance to temperature fluctuations during the spring and autumn periods. The leaf rosette is compact yet dense, which simplifies harvesting and packaging. Its bright green color and pronounced spicy aroma make "Marunka" highly sought after for both the fresh market and for drying or freezing purposes.

Why Choose Semo

The Czech breeding school is defined by its pragmatism. "Marunka" is the choice for those seeking a perfect balance between labor input and marketable yield. The variety does not require specialized growing conditions and responds well to standard fertilization and irrigation schedules. By choosing Semo products, vegetable growers secure a stable genetic potential backed by time-tested European quality standards.
