Cucumber VULCAN is a medium-early, bee-pollinated hybrid with predominantly female flowering and clustered fruit set. The plant is indeterminate, strong-growing, medium-branched with large green leaves. Cucumbers are short, cylindrical, green in color with mottling and medium density of black hairs, weighing from 77 to 93 grams. The taste of the fruits is good, bright and juicy, without bitterness, making this variety suitable for both fresh consumption and preservation. Cucumbers retain crunchiness and vibrant color during pickling and marination.

The maturation period of cucumber VULCAN ranges from 42 to 58 days, allowing for a relatively quick harvest. The yield is high — marketable production reaches 343-454 centners per hectare, which is 10-20 centners higher than standard yields. Marketable output varies from 70 to 95%. The variety is resistant to cladosporiosis, powdery mildew, and tolerant to false powdery mildew, ensuring reliable cultivation even under adverse weather conditions.

For successful cultivation of cucumber VULCAN, it is recommended to use medium-loamy, well-aerated soils with low acidity. Seeds are sown into soil heated to 15-18 degrees Celsius at a depth of 1-2 cm, preferably covered with plastic film to retain warmth and moisture. Seedlings are grown at 25 degrees Celsius, then cooled to 15 degrees Celsius after germination. Regular care is required, including weeding, loosening, watering with warm water after sunset, and 2-3 applications of complex mineral fertilizers. Harvesting is conducted as cucumbers mature, enabling the collection of fresh and high-quality fruits throughout the season.
