WIURZBURG 59 RADISH

The Wuerzburg 59 radish is a mid-season variety with a maturation period of 22 to 35 days, allowing for a stable and high-yield harvest in open ground. The roots of this variety are round, large, weighing from 14 to 25 grams with a diameter of 3-4 cm. Their surface is smooth, carmine-red with a raspberry hue, while the flesh is white, juicy, dense and tender, maintaining freshness for a long time without wilting. The taste is harmonious, moderately spicy, without bitterness, making radishes ideal for fresh consumption, vitamin salads, appetizers, and even carving.

The variety is distinguished by high resistance to bolting and diseases, as well as cold hardiness, allowing it to withstand light frosts. Radishes are light-loving and prefer loose, fertile soils with a neutral reaction, such as loamy or light loam soils. To achieve maximum yield, it is recommended to avoid planting after cruciferous crops and to observe crop rotation with an interval of at least four years. Seeds are sown from early April to mid-August at a depth of 1.5-3 cm at a soil temperature from 8 to 18°C, with an optimal planting pattern of 7x10 cm.

Care of plants includes regular soil loosening and maintaining moisture, which contributes to the formation of quality roots.
