Description
Cucumber Vozhak is a fast-maturing hybrid characterized by high yield and resistance to major diseases. The plants are predominantly female-flowering, parthenocarpic, ensuring stable fruiting without pollination. Depending on growing conditions, the period from germination to fruiting begins between 38 to 52 days, enabling early harvest both in greenhouses and open ground.
The fruits of cucumber Vozhak have a cylindrical shape with a bumpy surface, measuring 9 to 18 cm in length and weighing 80 to 140 grams. The flesh is dense, crisp, and aromatic without bitterness, making them suitable for fresh consumption and pickling. Fruit color varies from green with light stripes to more uniform hues, while white-tipped and black hairs give them an attractive appearance.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to powdery mildew, false powdery mildew, and root rot, significantly simplifying care and reducing the risk of yield loss. Plants are medium to tall, with good leafiness and the ability to form multiple fruits per node, contributing to high yields up to 18 kg per square meter. Recommended for cultivation in plastic greenhouses and open ground, with a planting density of approximately 2.5–3 plants per square meter.
