Description SIBERIAN EMERALD
Siberian Emerald is a fast-maturing cucumber hybrid, distinguished by high yield and universal use. Plants of this variety have female flowering and medium-vining growth, which simplifies their formation and care. Fruits are dark green emerald-colored, cylindrical or spindle-shaped, 3–12 cm long, making them ideal for fresh salads, pickling, and marinating. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in open ground, greenhouses, and under temporary plastic coverings, demonstrating stable fruiting in various climatic conditions.

Siberian Emerald is distinguished by its early maturity: the first fruits can be harvested as early as 36–49 days after germination. Plants are vigorous, with clustered fruit set, which contributes to high yields — up to 12–14 kg per square meter under plastic and about 3.2–4.8 kg in open ground. Fruits have a crisp texture, rich cucumber aroma, and are genetically free of bitterness, making them especially attractive to consumers.

The hybrid is resistant to major cucumber diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus, brown spot, powdery mildew, downy mildew, root rot, and bacterial disease. These qualities significantly simplify plant care and increase harvest reliability. Regular harvesting is recommended to maintain high productivity. Seedlings are typically sown in early May, with transplanting into the ground at the end of May to early June; direct sowing into open ground in May–June is also possible.
