Green Coat — a new parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid, distinguished by continuous fruiting from spring to autumn. It easily sets fruit even under shading, making it especially convenient for cultivation in protected environments. The first cucumbers can be harvested as early as day 50-55 after germination. Female flowers, with two fruits forming per node, contribute to high yields — up to 16 kg per square meter.
The fruits of this hybrid are salad-type green cucumbers, 17-20 cm long and weighing 160-170 g. They are white-stemmed, large-bumpy, very neat, juicy, and crunchy, without bitterness, making them ideal for fresh consumption. The hybrid is resistant to a complex of diseases, reducing the risk of crop loss and simplifying plant care.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to maintain air temperature in the range of +16...+17 °C for 10-12 days before transplanting seedlings and for 2-3 weeks after planting, to avoid dominance of male flowers. Watering should be done only with warm water, and regular fertilization should be ensured. Harvesting fruits should be conducted regularly, every 2-3 days, which helps maintain high quality and quantity of the yield.
